September 11, 2011 - Annual "All You Can Eat Breakfast"

Each year on the second Sunday of the month in September the Sunflower Chapter in conjunction with the Hays, Kansas V.F.W. sponsors an "All You Can Eat Breakfast" from 7:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., at the V.F.W. Hall, 2106 Vine.  A portion of the proceeds goes to benefit our chapter as well as the AHSGR Society.  Tickets may be purchased through Chapter Members or at the St. Joseph Parish Service Center, 210 West 13th, Hays.
This year we will have a raffle.

September 16, 2011 - "Eine Hochzeit in Ellis County - 1881" video and German Buffet.

In 1991 Leon Pfeifer produced a video of an old fashioned Volga German wedding as it would have happened back in 1881 in Ellis County complete with german speaking, customs and music.  Our chapter in conjunction with the Fox Pavilion in Hays will be showing this video on Friday, September 16, 2011 beginning with a german buffet at 6:00 p.m.  The meal will consist of Gaulshkis, Wedding Roast Beef, Creamed Potatoes and Dumplings, Chicken and Noodles, Green Bean/Corn, German Chocolate Cake and Tea/Coffee.  Tickets are $15.00 a person and may be purchased by called Pam Burgardt at 785-625-9508, 785-650-4016; Kevin Rupp, 656-0329, 625-6638, 625-7356; Juliet Honas 785-623-0783 or stop by the St. Joseph Parish Service Center to purchase a ticket.

Chapter members will be available to answer any questions about the Sunflower Chapter or to accept new members.
